Signature Summits

The Outdoor Nation Youth Summit is a two-day event with 249 of your peers (give or take) so that we can find solutions to the challenges that are keeping people indoors. We'll brainstorm project ideas and then Outdoor Nation will help you transform those ideas into actions. Expect training, networking and even seed money granted to the best and the brightest projects. We think that bears repeating - $$ to make your projects happen!

This year, the Summits will be held in Boston, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas. We're still working out all the nitty gritties, but we'll get back with more info soon. We promise!

The best part? Outdoor Nation is fuh-ree thanks to our freaking awesome sponsors. You got it, food and lodging are totally paid for. All you have to do is apply, and get there! Road trip!!

YOU can be a summit delegate if:

• You really want to change the world so that everyone has the chance to GTFO
• You are between the ages of 18 and 28
• Your application is chosen by our esteemed committee

National Congress

Amplifying our voice – the youth voice – and enhancing our influence on outdoor programs and policies is a huge priority for Outdoor Nation. That’s why a standout group of young leaders is taking on Washington, DC during Outdoor Nation’s third annual National Congress.

We’ll meet with Members of Congress, administration officials and beyond to talk about America’s natural resources and investments. We also want to make sure that we have a permanent seat at the “adult table” where decisions are made about programs that affect our peers. Oh, and of course we’ll also have some fun along the way!

ON-IT Invitational Summits

We’ve got something new up our sleeves! We already know that you, our Outdoor Nation delegates, are the outdoor leaders of tomorrow, but we want to give you the tools to be the best outdoor leaders ever. So, as part of the 2012 Summit Series, Outdoor Nation will host five ON-IT Invitational Summits.

ON-IT Summits will bring select Outdoor Nation leaders, activists and social entrepreneurs together for two days of intensive leadership development training. This training, provided by the best in the outdoor industry, will give you the tools to grow and sustain your community action plans, projects and organizations. You’ll also have time to present your one-of-a-kind ideas and, of course, get a chance to just hang out with other outdoor leaders.

ON-IT Summits will engage those super into-it Outdoor Nation delegates from 2011 and will be held in New York, Atlanta, Twin Cities, Denver and San Francisco. Look out, world!
